Written by one of the organisers of the Liberian Mass Action for Peace, which helped bring about the end of the Liberian civil war. This memoir starts with a happy childhood, moves through years of war and other brutalities, and ultimately follows the growth of a woman who finds her voice, her place, and her meaning in life. I loved it.
