I really enjoyed A Death in Vienna (Liebermann Papers #1) by Frank Tallis and I think this series might become a favorite. Liebermann and Rheinhardt are a good team and I like that they're already good friends going into this series opener. Another favorite element of this is the setting - Vienna is practically its own character with its richness and just how distinctly it comes across. I'm also very much looking forward to watching the tv adaptation, Vienna Blood.
