The writing in this book is pleasant to read and the author's perspective is interesting, but the overarching story is a little hard to follow and it is often difficult to identify which character's perspective the pieces are being written from. This may not be the authors fault, as the stories are collected from two different books and the issue may lie in how they were compiled. I imagine its a more enjoyable for someone who is already familiar with Taia's work and as such I would recommend starting with a different piece of his work.
