Slash and Burn

The story of a woman's life, following her through the aftermath of years spent fighting in the mountains during the civil war, then the challenges of reintegration and raising her children on her own. The author makes the interesting choice of using no character names but I was able to follow which of the woman, her daughters, her mother, and her former compatriots were being described. I really enjoyed this book.
