This was so beautiful! I loved the poetic prose, the dream sequences and the discussion of words and names. A coming of age story but so much more than that - I felt honoured to spend time in Philistia’s mind and thoughts. Planting a tree for those we love who are not with us - finding the tree that suits them. And then there is the danger of the war, her father in jail, check points and the destruction of the villages olive trees. So much in such a short novella.
