Really interesting book that highlights various facets of the history, life and culture of Africa. There are sections on the eternal battle that decides which recipe for jollof rice is the best, Nollywood, and some of the amazing youth led movements changing the external view of their countries. Then there are less light hearted sections dealing with colonial history and the birth of many of the nations of Africa. It's a short book so it's just a light skim of information but the writing is great and it's an accessible introduction to a subject we all should know more about.
