Read Around the World Challenge: Belgium. The historical accuracy of this novel seems to be as impeccable as it can be. This book is both fascinating and challenging. Most of the challenge came from my own lack of understanding of many references. The fascination is with how well the author developed the character and voice of the Emperor, Hadrian, to create a believable memoir.
